Solution Focused Hypnotherapy

What is a Clinical Hypnotherapist?

Clinical hypnotherapy is where a person receives hypnotherapy from a qualified therapist, In the UK, hypnotherapists are not required to have any specific training by law, but a Clinical Hypnotherapist is a licensed, regulated clinician who can use the practise to treat a range of medical and psychological conditions.  In some situations it may be necessary for Evolve Hypnotherapy to contact the clients GP prior to the commencement of treatment.  The client will always be informed of this.

Solution Focused HypnotherapyWhat is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis has been used for many years as a way of allowing people to make positive changes to their lives.  Modern proven therapeutic techniques are combined with a state of trance to help people make significant positive changes within relatively short periods of time.

Working with solution focused hypnotherapy, Sarah looks at what the client wants to achieve or change rather than on the problem that prompted them to seek change.

Focus on the present and the future, not the past.

This approach focuses on the present and future and not on the past as many clients are relieved to discover that they are not expected to talk in details about their problems or relive distressing memories.  Clients are asked to consider their preferred future, for instance, “what would be better if the problem had improved?” “What would have changed?”  This enable the possible solution to become more apparent and worked towards.

The Hypnosis itself, which just feels as if your are nicely relaxed, allows you to access your subconscious mind and make changes at that subconscious level.

At all times the client is in control, the mind will only accept what it agrees with and the changes made are very natural because they come from them.

This debunks the myth that people think hypnosis is something done to them and the hypnotherapist simply magics the problem away by taking over the mind!

Hypnotherapy can help.

Excessive or prolonged stress can lead to illness, physical and emotional exhaustion, increased anxiety and crippling panic attacks.

What to expect.

Many people believe that Hypnotherapy is something that is ‘done’ to them and they simply explain their issue to the therapist, whom then hypnotises their problem away – as if by magic!

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is very much a collaborative process and it is important for the client to understand that if they are willing to make changes to the way they think, the therapy can be highly effective.

Change happens because you want it to, and you are prepared to take the necessary steps to allow this to happen.

The success of your sessions with Sarah are aided by the use of a relaxation CD.  This recreates the calm state experienced during the hypnotherapy session.  It is as if you are able to have additional sessions in the comfort of your own home!
